According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today, June 25, the tropical depression in the East Sea affected some coastal areas in Vietnam.
The East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago and Truong Sa), the sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang, the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6-7.
From the night of June 25 and June 26, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9, waves 2-4 m high, rough seas.
The Central East Sea area, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ba Ria Vung Tau, the East of the North of the Gulf of Tonkin has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7, waves 1.5-3 m high, rough seas.
The tropical depression has not affected the mainland of Vietnam much. The Northern region is forecast to be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. The highest temperature is from 31-34 degrees Celsius.
The Central region is cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; sunny days, some places are hot, and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the South tomorrow evening. The highest temperature is from 32-35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
The Central Highlands and the South will have clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, locally heavy rain, then showers and thunderstorms in some places; tomorrow evening there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain in some places.
People and tourists should be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Bring an umbrella and raincoat when going out to prevent sudden changes in weather.
