At 7:00 a.m. on August 30, storm No. 6 moved in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 20km/h. The center of the storm is located at about 17.3 degrees North latitude - 108.8 degrees East longitude, in the sea area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city, about 210km East Southeast of the North of Quang Tri.
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8, gusting to level 10. Natural disaster risk level: level 3 for the western sea area of the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), the sea area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city.
By 7:00 p.m. today, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of about 20km/h inland and gradually weaken into a tropical depression. The center of the low pressure is located at about 17.8 degrees North latitude - 106.2 degrees East longitude, on the mainland of the provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri.
The strongest wind near the center of the low pressure is level 6-7, gusting to level 9. Natural disaster risk level: level 3 for the western sea area of the North East Sea, the sea area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city (including Hon Ngu island, Con Co special area).
Due to the impact of storm No. 6, from this morning, August 30, the coastal area of Nghe An - Quang Tri will have winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 8. In particular, Ha Tinh - North Quang Tri will have strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center, strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 10. Thunderstorms and tornadoes may appear before the low pressure/storm directly affects.
The area from Thanh Hoa - Hue will have heavy to very heavy rain (commonly in 200-350mm, locally over 600mm).
The midlands, Northern Delta and Da Nang will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain (commonly in 100-200mm, some places over 400mm).
