The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting updates the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (May 1) in regions across the country.
The Southeast region continues to experience hot sun with the highest temperature commonly 35-36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C; relatively low humidity from 50-55%.
The Mekong Delta also experiences localized hot weather with temperatures in some places above 35 degrees Celsius. It is forecast that from May 2nd, widespread hot weather in the South will end.
The meteorological agency warns that hot weather combined with low air humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand. People need to be wary of water loss and exhaustion when exposed to the outdoors for a long time.
The Northwest and Northeast regions will be sunny during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Lai Chau and Dien Bien will have scattered showers and thunderstorms from the evening of May 2-3, with locally heavy rain.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue City, the main weather is sunny days, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening. By May 3, the area is likely to experience hot sun, the highest temperature is 34-36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C.
The South Central Coast continues to maintain sunny days, with localized thunderstorms in the evening and at night, the highest temperature is commonly 31-34 degrees Celsius, with some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
Central Highlands region from 1-3. 5 days sunny, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Highest temperature 30-33 degrees C.
The South maintains sunshine during the day, especially the East on May 1 has clear hot sunshine. From late afternoon and night, showers and localized thunderstorms appear in many places.
The meteorological agency recommends that people and tourists limit going out during the intense heat from 11-16 am, supplement enough water, use electricity safely and proactively take measures to prevent fires and explosions during the hot season.
