According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 21, the area from Nghe An to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak continue to experience hot and intense heat, locally especially intense in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 36-39 degrees C, in some places exceeding 39 degrees C; humidity is low, fluctuating around 45-50%. Meanwhile, the Northern Delta and Thanh Hoa areas also recorded localized hot weather.
On July 22, the heat will narrow its scope, concentrated in Quang Tri to Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak. The highest temperature is commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 37 degrees Celsius, locally experiencing intense heat.
According to forecasts, from July 23, hot weather will tend to decrease, only appearing locally in some areas of the Central region.
The meteorological agency warns that prolonged hot weather combined with low humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas and the risk of forest fires. At the same time, people and tourists need to limit working or outdoor activities during hot weather to avoid dehydration, exhaustion and adverse effects on health.
