Thung Nai is a commune on the Da River reservoir in Cao Phong - Hoa Binh district, located about 25km from the center of Hoa Binh city and about 110km from Hanoi.
The name Thung Nai is given because in the past, animals such as tigers, leopards, deer, and Nai often moved here to live, the largest of which was Nai. The image of the yellow storks struggling in the afternoon sunlight on the slopes, reflecting on the Da River has become the name for this land.
With beautiful natural scenery, the mountains and lakes blend together. seen from above, the beauty of Thung Nai is so poetic and extremely charming. Many people compare Thung Nai to a "Ha Long Bay on land" with many different large and small islands.
