A series of exhibitions on National Day 2.9 should not be missed in Hanoi

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, Hanoi became a cultural and historical destination, with a series of unique exhibitions.

During the historic August Autumn Festival, visitors to Hanoi not only get to watch the parades to parade on National Day on September 2 but also have the opportunity to visit a series of cultural and historical exhibitions.

"Beauty, kindness" - Hoa Lo Prison Relic

This is a topic organized by the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board, lasting from July 16 to August 31. The exhibition program has 3 contents: In the prison; Beauty, kindness and Connecting love.

The exhibition aims to recreate the scene of French colonialism oppressing prisoners, while honoring 10 outstanding revolutionary soldiers such as Nguyen An Ninh, Nguyen Duc Canh, Hoang Van Thu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Quang Thai... They are the ones who use pencils to reflect the reality of life, the cruelty of the prison regime and their strong patriotism.

Not only watching the exhibition towards National Day 2.9, visitors can still buy tickets and book a tour of the Sacred Night Fire tu every week. Admission is 50,000 VND/person, open during the day from 8am to 5pm, and at night from 7pm to 9pm.

"80 years of the Journey of Independence - Liberation - Happiness" - VEC Vietnam Exhibition Center

The VEC Vietnam Exhibition Center on Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi is in the top 10 largest exhibition complex in the world.

From August 28 to September 5, a thematic exhibition will take place "80 years of the independence - freedom - Happiness Journey" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

The event gathered 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries, 106 state-owned and private enterprises with a total of 180 industries and more than 230 booths. The exhibition is an unprecedented event, reflecting the history and outstanding achievements of Vietnam.

An important highlight of the exhibition is the cultural industrial park, introducing 12 areas: Games show, fashion, performing arts, cinema, handicrafts, tourism...

There is a 400m2 stage here for performances, a 200-seat film studio with excellent Vietnamese films, and many exchange activities with artists. In addition, there are also experience spaces such as virtual dressing rooms, creative cultural product exhibition areas.

The Vietnam Exhibition Center welcomes visitors from 9am to 10pm every day and offers free admission.

Exhibition series at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum

The art exhibition "Children of the Fatherland" towards the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 will be open from August 15 to September 10. At the event, visitors can admire 80 typical works of art, composed in the period of 1947 - 1986, using many materials such as oil paint, lacquer, silk, wood, rosewood... to depict and honor the image of the heroic soldiers.

In addition, from August 22, the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts will also organize an exhibition "Artificial Intelligence in Applied Fine Arts" to take viewers to explore the intersection between modern technology and traditional art.

Museum admission is 40,000 VND/person, open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day (except for Monday).

"Folklore of the crop - Lighting up the future" - National Museum of History

At the National Museum of History, from August 22 to the end of December 2025, a thematic exhibition will be displayed "Folklore of the People's School - Light up the Future". Nearly 160 valuable artifacts, images, and documents recreate the largest literacy movement in modern Vietnamese history.

Notably, the exhibition includes a collection of gifts given by students of the popular education class to President Ho Chi Minh; the Folklore of the occasion badge painted and printed by revolutionary soldiers imprisoned in Con Dao to encourage the spirit of learning to read and write in prison, 1951.

Admission to the museum is 40,000 VND/person, open from 8am to 5pm every day (except Monday).

Exhibition series at Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site

From August 19 to September 1, visitors to Thang Long Imperial Citadel can visit more historical sites such as "D67 House and tunnel - Journey to the Day of the Conquest", "Co Yue Tunnel - General Staff".

From September 1, the exhibition "Hanoi Flag Tower - Fatherland and Aspiration for Peace" will welcome visitors. The story of the Imperial Academy will be told through three themes in the flow of history: the Nguyen Dynasty, the French colonial period and the period of Vietnamese independence. The exhibition combines displaying original artifacts, 3D models, documentaries, 3D mapping lighting...

In addition to the exhibitions, visitors can explore more with the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Decoding Night tour on Friday and Saturday evenings every week.

Tickets to Thang Long Imperial Citadel are 100,000 VND/person, open from 8am - 5pm every day.
