Michelin Guide suggests a day and night itinerary to explore Ho Chi Minh City for tourists who love to party and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the "city that never sleeps".

Day 1

Visitors can start their day with a standard Vietnamese breakfast at Number One Chicken Sticky Rice on Nguyen Trung Truc Street, District 1. This restaurant is on the Michelin Guide 2024 Bib Gourmand list for its unique flavors and affordable prices.

Chicken sticky rice or corn sticky rice with fragrant fried onions and plenty of toppings can surely conquer the most demanding taste buds.

Right after that, enjoying a cup of traditional black coffee at Lacaph is not a bad choice to end a leisurely breakfast.

According to Michelin, Rice Field restaurant is a suitable place for a quick but still complete and neat lunch. The restaurant serves familiar, traditional Vietnamese dishes such as pickled eggplant, braised pork, sour fish, bitter melon stir-fried with eggs...

After lunch, visitors can take a walk and explore some famous places, considered symbols of Ho Chi Minh City such as Ho Chi Minh Museum, Dragon Bay Marina, Independence Palace, Tao Dan Park...

These are all ideal places for tourists to explore culture, history as well as understand more about the modern, vibrant but equally peaceful life of Ho Chi Minh City.

For dinner, Michelin suggests diners consider visiting Coco Dining - a restaurant serving contemporary Vietnamese cuisine.

This is one of the restaurants with a menu with a special combination of traditional flavors, familiar ingredients and creativity, modernity, and freshness in the way of processing. In addition, there is also a bar to serve wine and cocktails for a luxurious meal.

After dinner, it’s time to explore the city’s nightlife. Chill Skybar or Boosh Rooftop on Bui Vien walking street are ideal choices to immerse yourself in the world of music, alcohol and charming space. Both bars have DJs to stir up the atmosphere on weekends with a variety of music genres.

In addition, Frolic - a LGBT-friendly bar or The Observatory are also ideal places to hang out for those who love house, disco and techno music. These bars are open from late afternoon to early morning the next day.

Day 2

To recharge after a sleepless night in Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can enjoy pho at Pho Hoa Pasteur. Opened in 1968, the restaurant is famous for its characteristic rich broth, fragrant with onions and other raw vegetables, generous toppings, and plenty of tender beef.

A cup of coffee at Linh Coffee Shop continues to be the perfect choice for a whole day of alertness. In addition to drinking coffee, customers will enjoy the nostalgic space, imbued with the Saigon of the 60s of the last century.

In the afternoon, leisurely stroll through Gallery Medium, which displays famous works by Vietnamese artists, or visit OHQUAO Concept Store, a shop selling many unique souvenirs such as socks, cups, prints... are not bad suggestions for tourists to consider buying gifts for family and friends after the trip.

According to Michelin, Anan Saigon is the ideal place to end a 2-day journey in Vietnam. This luxurious restaurant elevates the taste of street food with creative and innovative preparation. It is also the first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City to be awarded 1 Michelin star.

Right on the top floor of Anan Saigon is Nhau Nhau, a famous bar with a beautiful view, encompassing the bustling city at night. Enjoying a delicious cocktail with soft music will help diners relax and recharge effectively after busy daily moments.
