Lim Festival 2026 takes place on two days, February 28th and March 1st (ie, January 12th and 13th of the Binh Ngo year) in 7 villages of Tien Du commune, Bac Ninh province. The festival center is located in the Hong Van mountain area (Lim mountain) and Van Tuong regulating lake - the two main spaces of the festival.
This is one of the typical festivals of the Kinh Bac region, where visitors can fully experience the space of Quan Ho folk songs of Bac Ninh, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2009).

Detailed schedule of Lim Festival 2026
February 28th (ie January 12th)
Ritual part
7:30 AM: Incense offering ceremony to open the festival at Hong An Pagoda; ceremony at the Mausoleum of General Nguyen Dinh Dien.
8:30 AM: Ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition of National Intangible Cultural Heritage for Lim Festival at the central stage of Hong Van mountain.
The procession, worship, and incense offering ceremony according to traditional rituals at communal houses, temples, and pagodas in the festival area.

Quan Ho response singing at 8 camps and central stage.
Folk games: To tom diem, calligraphy, poetry festival.
7:30 PM: Special art program.
At Van Tuong regulating lake
Quan Ho singing at 4 practice camps.
Singing Quan Ho on boats from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Provincial level freestyle wrestling and national wrestling championship.
Folk games: swing, blindfolded goat catching, pot smashing.

9pm: Low-altitude fireworks display to welcome Binh Ngo Spring.

Singing Quan Ho at the communal house gate, pagoda gate, on boats and at artisans' homes in villages in the festival area.

March 1st (ie January 13th)
Ritual part
7:30 AM: The procession from Dinh Ca communal house to Lim hill, worshiping and offering incense at the Mausoleum of General Nguyen Dinh Dien.
Sac Sac procession and worshiping ceremony at communal houses, temples, and pagodas.
The procession from the center of Lung Giang village to the village communal house.
The festival part takes place at Lim hill square, with an art program on the main stage.
Singing Quan Ho in response at 6 camps. Folk games include To Tom Diem, calligraphy, poetry festival.
At Van Tuong regulating lake, a Quan Ho singing performance will take place at 4 camps.
Quan Ho singing on boats takes place from 9am to 11am and from 2pm to 4pm.
Besides, there are provincial-level national wrestling tournaments, folk games and culinary spaces.

Lim Festival continues to affirm its position as a typical Quan Ho cultural space of Bac Ninh, where visitors can listen to back-and-forth singing, Canh singing, singing on boats and experience traditional cultural activities.

Lim festival belongs to Tien Du commune, about 55 km from the center of Hanoi.

The Organizing Committee of Lim Festival 2026 arranges many parking spots around the festival area:

The area has surveillance cameras and strictly handles the situation of overcharging and causing disturbances.

Traffic diversion to serve Lim Festival 2026
Application time: Starting from 6:30 AM on February 28, 2026 (ie January 12th of the lunar calendar) and throughout the time of the Lim festival (February 28 and March 1, 2026).
Traffic diversion for cars:
Hanoi direction to Lang Son (on provincial road 295B), vehicles travel in the following directions:
Passing the Dong Xep bridge intersection to National Highway 1A.
Turn onto provincial road 295 to Yen Phong or new National Highway 18.
Go to the central road of Tien Son Industrial Park, through the industrial park intersection to National Highway 1A.
Direction from Lang Son to Hanoi (on provincial road 295B), vehicles move in the following directions:
Turn National Highway 18 (Tran Hung Dao street), National Highway 38 (Nguyen Trai street) or at the intersection with Ly Anh Tong street to National Highway 1A.
Going National Highway 38 through Ho bridge, National Highway 17 to Hanoi.
Going provincial road 286 in the direction of Yen Phong to Hanoi.
For motorcycles, mopeds and rudimentary vehicles:
When traffic jams occur, functional forces will prohibit all types of motorbikes, mopeds, and rudimentary vehicles from passing through or entering the Festival area.
Vehicles are guided to circulate along the routes: National Highway 1A, National Highway 18, National Highway 38, provincial road 295B, provincial road 286, central road of Tien Son Industrial Park and other inter-communal routes.
Functional forces recommend that people and tourists proactively grasp the traffic diversion plan before leaving; limit personal vehicles from entering the center during peak hours. Follow traffic regulation instructions and prioritize bypass routes to reduce congestion.
