Vietnam Fine Arts Museum
Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, located at 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh District. It has a permanent exhibition system introducing nearly 2,000 artifacts and representative works of art of Vietnamese fine arts from prehistoric times to the present day.
Like many French architectural works in Hanoi that appeared in the late 19th century, this building was built and inaugurated in 1937, originally a dormitory of the Catholic church, named Gia Dinh Gian Da (Famille de Jean d’Arc), with the purpose of allowing the daughters of French officials throughout Indochina to study in Hanoi.
The museum is open from 8:30 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday (except Monday and Tet). Entrance fee is from 10,000 - 40,000 VND/visit.
