Hanoi Department of Tourism launched a series of stimulating products including 80 experiences as a friendly welcome to tourists visiting the capital on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80).
This is also a vivid testament to the spirit of innovation, creativity and responsibility of the Capital in building a sustainable, professional and modern tourism industry.
The selected, renewed and developed programs and products not only aim to promote the cultural and historical values of the thousand-year-old capital but also want to enhance and diversify unique experiences for tourists.

Hanoi introduces many tours associated with unique heritage, culture and history. Notable among them are tours to visit the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam combined with experiences of the ancient city and traditional cuisine; tour "Sacred Night - Live forever with the Capital" at Hoa Lo Prison Relic; tour of Bat Trang and Van Phuc craft villages combined with pottery and silk weaving experience activities.
With the ecological, resort and nature product group, visitors can choose tours to explore Ba Vi National Park, Duong Lam ancient village, eco-tourism in Soc Son or experience a cruise on the Red River. Some sports and resort tours at suburban resorts also attract visitors.
The culinary, shopping and urban experience group offers many options such as a tour of Dong Xuan market - Hang Dao street - Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoying typical dishes; shopping tours at major shopping malls combined with traditional art performances; tours to explore Hoan Kiem Lake walking street and Trinh Cong Son street.
With art - night - creative tours, visitors can enjoy the night puppet, show "Dau Chan" - Quintessence of the North; Night tour "Crying clouds" at the National History Museum of Vietnam; Night tour "Memory of Thang Long" at the Youth Theater; Night tour and art of the Capital at the University of Fine Arts; Performance program "Calling Tone - Quintessence of Vietnamese Art"...
In addition, Hanoi also introduces art and entertainment tours such as tours to enjoy water puppetry in Thang Long, watching music at the Opera House, participating in contemporary art workshops or experiencing outdoor music nights.
One of the highlights is the double-decker cruise ship product "The Hanoi Train". The train consists of 5 passenger cars, each car named after a familiar Hanoi gate: O Cau Den, O Quan Chuong, O Cau Giay, O Cho Dua, O Dong Mac; along with check-in cars and technical cars.
This is the first inner-city tourism train line in Hanoi, helping visitors learn about history, preserve memories and appreciate current values through experiences in culture - art and typical cuisine.
The Hanoi train will open on August 19, 2025, on the occasion of the August Revolution, passing through Hanoi, Gia Lam, Dong Anh, Phu Dien, Ha Dong, Giap Bat, Tu Son stations, with a tourist destination for Den Do (Bac Ninh).
On this occasion, the city also surveyed and built a number of products to connect trains on urban railway line No. 2A (Ha Dong - Cat Linh) with cultural, historical, culinary, entertainment destinations... The total length of the route is 13km designed at an elevated level, with 12 stations, the average distance between stations is about 1.1km.
