On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has announced a plan including location, time, quantity... of fireworks to celebrate the new year.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City set a record for the number of fireworks display locations with a total of 15 locations, including 2 high-altitude locations and 13 low-altitude locations.
The two high-altitude fireworks display locations include the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Area (Cu Chi District). These are locations with spacious, airy, open spaces.
High-altitude fireworks are fireworks that are fired from a shell with a diameter of over 9cm or fired from a height of 120m. High-altitude fireworks are usually large, beautiful and can be seen from a greater distance than low-altitude fireworks.

13 low-altitude shooting points are arranged in Ho Chi Minh City on New Year's Eve 2025, specifically:
- Thao Dien Urban Area, Thu Duc City.
- Rach Dia bridge area, Nha Be district.
- Saigon River area, near Rach Chiec bridge, Thu Duc city.
- Dam Sen Cultural Park, District 11.
- Ben Noc Memorial Temple, Thu Duc City.
- Memorial area of the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising, Binh Chanh district.
- Northwest Industrial Park, Cu Chi District.
- Memorial temple for martyrs of Rung Sac, Can Gio district.
- District 7 administrative center square.
- 38-hectare Residential Park, Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12.
- Peace Square, Go Vap District.
- Martyrs Memorial Area at Nga Ba Giong, Hoc Mon District.
- Binh Dien market area, District 8.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year this year, Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays in all 5/5 districts, 5/16 districts and 1 city (merging District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District). Residents and tourists in other districts such as District 4, District 5... can easily go to neighboring districts such as District 1, District 7 to watch fireworks.

Fireworks display lasts 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29.
Residents and tourists planning to watch fireworks at the above locations should carefully consider their means of transportation, avoid traffic jams, check for prohibited routes, proactively bring drinking water, avoid bringing pets or valuable items because of the possibility of jostling and pickpocketing.
