Released in 2018, Victor Vu's "Immortal" exploits the theme of black magic, with a thrilling, mysterious plot. After three days of reappearing in theaters, Victor Vu's movie grossed hundreds of millions of dong.
In February 7 alone, revenue reached more than 160 million VND. Previously, the film recorded revenue of more than 200 million VND in the first day of re-release on February 4.
Through the screen, audiences have the opportunity to admire the beautiful natural scenery from North to South.
Quang Tri is the locality that appears most in the film, accounting for about 70-90% of the total sets. This land possesses a system of limestone mountains, primeval forests and massive caves, almost intact under human impact. The Tu Lan cave chain, located in Minh Hoa and Tuyen Hoa communes, is a prominent highlight with more than 20 large and small caves, spread over an area of more than 650 hectares.

The Immortal is also the first film of Vietnamese cinema to be filmed inside a cave system in Quang Tri.
In the film, many scenes are filmed at Ken Cave, Chuot Cave, To Mo Cave and To Mo Valley. Chuot Cave impresses because the cave entrance has an inverted heart shape, which is the starting point for the journey to explore Tu Lan.
Ken Cave is considered one of the most beautiful water caves in the area, with giant vertical stalactite blocks, creating a space that is both majestic and magical.

To Mo valley appears as a jade green basin located between tropical forests and limestone mountains, where underground water flows to form a clear lake, reflecting natural light. This space has a pristine, quiet but mysterious beauty, becoming one of the iconic images of the film.

In addition to Tu Lan, the Hung Thoong cave system with Tron caves, Hung caves, Thung caves and hundreds of meters deep subsidence holes and natural lakes on limestone mountains are also present, opening up depth frames, emphasizing the scale and diversity of the "cave kingdom".

Quang Tri's nature in the film is not only a visual setting but also clearly shows its harshness and wildness. Filming in low light conditions and rugged terrain shows the great efforts of the film crew to maintain the original beauty of the landscape, instead of intervening with scenery or special effects.
Besides Quang Tri, the movie The Immortal also expands the natural space to many other lands, creating a continuous landscape. Along the Ho Chi Minh Road West branch, old forests and limestone mountain valleys appear with majestic beauty, evoking the imprint of Truong Son nature. Suoi Mooc - a jade green stream in the deep forest - brings a gentle, balanced nuance with the fierceness of mountains and caves.

In the coastal area, Da Nhay beach impresses with its coastal stone complex with a fascinating shape, almost not yet exploited for mass tourism. When sea waves crash into the shore, undulating stone blocks create a lively rhythm, contributing to enriching the natural color palette in the film.

The natural and cultural space of the North is also recreated through ancient villages that still retain almost intact traditional structures. Nom village (Hung Yen) with banyan trees, ancient wells and mossy communal house roofs brings a quiet image of the Northern countryside, closely associated with the natural landscape. Cuu village (Phu Xuyen, Hanoi) appears with winding alleys, ancient houses interspersed with nature, reflecting the harmonious intersection between people and the living environment.

In the South, ancient villas in Tien Giang, Dong Nai, Go Cong are placed in green spaces and water surfaces, creating a quiet and tranquil look. Although they are artificial architecture, these works are still associated with the surrounding natural landscape, contributing to completing the diverse landscape picture of the film.

From majestic caves, overlapping mountains and forests to pristine seas and peaceful villages, the film has depicted a vast, diverse and culturally rich Vietnam. There, natural landscapes become an important material for cinema to tell stories about the country.
