Time Out magazine voted steam train ride in Vietnam as one of the most worth-trying experiences in 2025.

Recently, the British newspaper Time Out announced the 25 best experiences that tourists should try in 2025. Notably, taking a steam train in Vietnam also made the list.

According to Time Out, tourists can admire the entire poetic and charming landscape of Vietnam with a completely new experience when sitting on a steam train traveling between Da Nang - Hue called Revolution Express.

These are the last two steam locomotives operating in Vietnam, domestically manufactured before the liberation day based on the French Mikado design. Under the hands of railway engineers, the two locomotives from the 1960s have been perfectly restored and can operate normally again.

The locomotives will mount and operate two classically designed passenger cars that can accommodate up to 57 passengers each, along with a separate kitchen and baggage car.

Once operational, Revolution Express is expected to run daily between Da Nang and Hue, allowing passengers to admire the majestic beauty of Hai Van Pass as well as other famous landmarks.

Along the way, passengers will stop at three different stations: Kim Lien (Da Nang), Lang Co and Hue (Hue). Each station will have its own menu and entertainment programs imbued with the traditional culture of the Central region.

The Revolution Express is expected to be put into service in 2025. Tickets for this train are not yet available for sale.

In addition to taking a steam train in Vietnam, visiting Rainforest Wild Asia Wildlife Sanctuary (Singapore), Nuanu Creative City (Indonesia) or Saadiyat Cultural Area Abu Dhabi (UAE)... are also interesting experiences that Time Out suggests for visitors in the new year.
