Vietnamese visitors enjoy wearing hanbok, painting henna at cultural festival

Many Vietnamese guests dressed up as Hanbok to take photos and wait in line to paint Henna at the first World Cultural Festival.

The first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is taking place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center.

The event gathered 48 participating countries: 45 national cultural spaces, 34 international food stalls, 23 domestic and foreign art troupes... According to Lao Dong, on October 11 and 12, a large number of people and tourists flocked to the festival to visit and explore the culture and cuisine of countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

During the journey to explore the festival, in addition to the attractive food area, visitors have the opportunity to directly learn and experience the unique cultural features of the "Cultural Road" space with booths of nearly 50 countries such as: China, Korea, Japan, the US...

The booths introduce the characteristics of history, art, languages, costumes and customs of countries. At the Korean booth, visitors can experience wearing traditional Hanbok for photos.

Trying Hanbok for the first time, Nguyen Ho Chau Nhan (18 years old, Hanoi) said: "I have watched many Korean films such as When Life Is for You, the tangerine. Seeing the actors wearing beautiful Hanbok suits, I was very happy that I had the opportunity to wear them and take photos.

At the Indian booth, many young people lined up to paint Henna. Binh An (18 years old, Nghe An) and her friends are very excited to experience traditional Indian hand painting art even though they have to wait in long lines for their turn.

Not only in the Indian booth but also in other booths, there are many interesting and unique cultural experience activities with the enthusiastic sharing of international friends, you shared.

In addition to international booths, Vietnamese booths attract customers when recreating the beautiful and realistic space of Vietnamese countryside. Vietnamese food stalls are packed with customers enjoying sweet soup, banh cuon, banh da chieu, sticky rice... from morning to night.

At the same time, experiential activities including wearing costumes, participating in making many traditional Vietnamese products such as weaving, woodblock printing... leave an impression on domestic and international tourists.

The World Cultural Festival in Hanoi opens free until October 12 with many interesting experiences throughout: food street; film screening (360 Cinema); book festival; traditional art performance...

The closing ceremony will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 12.
