At the meeting, delegates discussed the Festival's identifying logo and stage perspective; program, festival script and cultural and sports activities within the framework of the 2024 Red River Festival.
The 2024 Red River Festival will have many rich and attractive activities such as: Opening ceremony with unique fireworks display; display beautiful photos, publications, documents, and artifacts about Lao Cai and the Red River; Marathon "Friendship Road" following the international route Lao Cai (Vietnam) - Hong Ha (China); International bicycle racing tournament "One track - two countries".
The 2024 Red River Festival is organized to affirm its strategic position as well as link the history of the Red River civilization with the history of formation and development of Lao Cai province. Thereby highlighting the unique national cultural values of Vietnam, while promoting the potential and strengths of tourism development of Lao Cai province and neighboring provinces.
Concluding the meeting, Ms. Giang Thi Dung, Vice Chairwoman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested members to continue to research and contribute ideas to complete the program content and script. The scripts need to be accelerated, completed soon, submitted for approval, ensuring quality, efficiency, timeliness, in accordance with the order and regulations of the law so that the Festival can take place safely, successfully and impressively.
According to the plan, the 2024 Red River Festival will take place from November 7 - 10, with the opening program taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 9, 2024 at Central Square, Nam Cuong ward, Lao Cai city.
The organization of the Red River Festival in 2024 is expected to be a premise towards becoming a large-scale, unique and unique annual cultural event of Lao Cai province.
