Impressive mascot, tourists are excited
The 2026 Lunar New Year in Dak Lak left many impressions on people and tourists when the two mascots "Two Horses in Harmony" and "Thăng Long Red Horse" appeared prominently in the spring street space (Tuy Hoa ward).
Many tourists are surprised by the scale and elaborate investment of this year's mascot. The horse design is both traditional Asian and modernly stylized, suitable for the youthful atmosphere of the city.
Details such as bangs, tails, nails, and eyes are meticulously cared for, showing the creativity and professionalism of the design and construction team.
Ms. Dang Thi Mai - a tourist from Da Nang - said that her family decided to come to Dak Lak for spring travel after seeing images of the mascot on social networks.
When we arrived, we saw that the mascot was more magnificent and vivid than in the photos. My children really liked it and kept taking pictures," she shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Truong Son (resident of Tuy Hoa ward), not only tourists but also local people are proud of this year's mascot. Soft design, harmonious colors, and synchronous decorative space create an impressive overall look.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Son hopes that the locality will study building mascots associated with their own identity for long-term exploitation, serving many different purposes.

For mascots to have long-term value
According to Mr. Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, during the Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the locality arranges mascots in many central locations for people and tourists to visit and take photos.
The cultural sector has also exchanged with localities on plans for exploiting and using mascots throughout the year.
Mr. Tran Hong Tien believes that mascots not only beautify the space during Tet but also express local cultural identity. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a suitable location, extend the duration of use to create urban imprints and avoid waste.
In the coming time, the province will continue to research and deploy mascots in a lively, symbolic direction, associated with the spirit of national unity; and at the same time promote creative ideas on the foundation of traditional culture, transforming them into long-term values, gradually turning local heritage into social assets.
