Ngu Chi Son belongs to Hoang Lien Son range, bordering Son Binh commune, Tam Duong district (Lai Chau) and Ta Giang Phinh commune, Sa Pa town (Lao Cai). Ngu Chi Son has 5 main mountains, vertical with the highest peak at 2,858m.
This is considered the most majestic mountain range in the Northwest region with rich vegetation in the primeval forest, a dream destination for many adventurous trekker.

Ms. Ngoc Ha (35 years old, Hanoi) had a memorable 2-day, 1-night trip to conquer Ngu Chi Son. This trekking trip was even more special when accompanying her was her 8-year-old son.
"I have trekked many mountains in the Northwest. However, I have not been able to go to Ngu Chi Son, so after reading the article on the trekking group, I decided to go in "a note". I originally intended to leave my son at home, but he was forced to come with me, so I also agreed to let him experience it, she shared.
Impressing Ms. Ha and her children, the Northwest has a fresh air, friendly, approachable and affectionate people. When coming here, the female tourist can immerse herself in nature, enjoy the full atmosphere and scenery of the mountains and forests, listen to the sound of birds singing, the sound of streams flowing everywhere... She believes that mountain climbing is one of the ways to challenge her health, spirit and will.
Ms. Ngoc Ha shared that she simply wanted to take her child to climbing the mountain without expecting Ngu Chi Son to have such a hard time conquering and being dangerous.
"The first day of climbing the weather was sunny, the roads were dry. But when reaching an altitude of 2,600m, hail began to appear, the terrain became more dangerous. I advised my child to stay at the hut, but he was determined to go. In the end, I had to hire a private port to accompany, support and ensure the safety of my child, she said.
Ms. Ngoc Ha said that her son was inherently active, so he was very excited when his mother took him mountain climbing, without showing any signs of fatigue or fear of altitude. Even when the whole group was tired and stopped to rest, the child still enthusiastically asked to climb to the top early.
During the 2 days, the boy and Mr. porter had many beautiful memories. "When we broke up, I still missed and cried for him," she confided.

Although she has many beautiful memories, Ms. Ngoc Ha said that the trip still has difficulties: "Chosing to climb mountains is accepting hardship. My child and I have not been able to bathe or do personal hygiene for two days because the water in the mountain is too cold. Eating and sleeping together, although inconvenient and not as complete as at home, is a valuable experience, especially for my son".
The female tourist revealed that the total cost of the trip was about 8 million/2 people. Regarding trekking items, she only prepares basic clothes and items because: "The lighter the item, the easier it is to carry, go fast and not lose energy".
Regarding mixed opinions about letting children too young climb mountains, Ngoc Ha believes that today's trekking routes are very modern and complete. Just find a responsible and professional tour, parents can ensure the safety of their children.
Regarding physical strength, if children are exercised regularly, they can walk faster and are healthier than adults, so parents should not worry too much. During the climbing process, parents should encourage, motivate, and motivate their children with both material and spiritual rewards so that they do not give up halfway.

According to Ms. Ngoc Ha, Ngu Chi Son is one of the most majestic mountains in Vietnam. If the weather is dry, the trekking journey will be easy. However, if you go in the rainy season, it will be quite challenging and dangerous, not suitable for those who are trying this sport for the first time.
The female tourist affirmed that she will return here next year and continue to accompany her son on other mountain climbing trips to make him stronger, and have a beautiful and memorable memory with his mother.
