Ben En National Park (located in the districts of Nhu Thanh and Nhu Xuan, Thanh Hoa province), is about 45 km southwest of Thanh Hoa city and 200 km from Hanoi. This place is considered a "Ha Long Bay on land" in Thanh, with majestic natural space and pristine scenery.
This place has a unique ecosystem with vast primeval forests, a vast lake with more than 20 large and small islands. Interspersed among the National Park are still many villages of indigenous people.
In 1977, when the Muc River was dammed and filled with water, Ben En Lake was formed, and aquatic resources became abundant and diverse. Ben En Lake has many delicious fish species that have become specialties such as: catfish, catfish, na fish, and mudfish...
When visiting Ben En Lake, visitors will experience boat and canoe services around the lake, immerse themselves in the poetic space of the mountains and forests and enjoy the specialties here.
Mr. Bui Van Truong (39 years old, Thanh Hoa City) said that over the years, his friends have introduced him to this tourist destination. Only now, when he visited and experienced Ben En National Park, did he clearly feel the majesty of nature here.
Mr. Le Cong Cuong - Director of Ben En National Park said that Ben En National Park was established in 1992. Every year, this place attracts about 25,000 tourists to visit and experience.
“Over the years, we have always determined that tourism development must be associated with the value of nature conservation and people's livelihoods. This will create sustainable development and harmony between nature and people,” Mr. Cuong shared.
