Tang Hoi Pagoda is located in Trang Bom ward, Dong Nai city, next to the Buong River, inside the pagoda campus is surrounded by rows of ancient trees and lush green bamboo forests. This is a retained pagoda that retains its pristine and rustic beauty in Dong Nai City.

Currently, at Tang Hoi Pagoda, in addition to activities during the Vu Lan festival, there is also the Pagoda Pottery Exhibition, taking place for 3 days from August 27 - 29, open to visitors to visit and admire.
These are wood-fired ceramic works created by Master Thich Dao Nguyen (35 years old, residing at Tang Hoi Pagoda) himself in the past 3 months to serve the exhibition. The source of materials is ceramics in the Bien Hoa area, North and right at the pagoda, each material produces products with different colors. The works after being created and shaped are self-fired by Master Thich Dao Nguyen right at the pagoda.

According to Venerable Thich Dao Nguyen, this is the 3rd year that the Pagoda Pottery Exhibition takes place every year on the full moon day of the 7th lunar month. The works all reflect the simple scenes and objects that the Venerable sees every day in the Zen land. These are clusters of wild grapes, banana leaves, lotus flowers, water lilies, Bodhi leaves, bells, wooden fish, sticks... Through wood-burning rustic pottery works, Venerable Thich Dao Nguyen wants to convey the rustic and simple spirit of monks in the rural pagoda, such as the scenery here.
Teacher Thich Dao Nguyen became attached to pottery around 2020, from then on pottery became a means of cultivation. The moments by the pottery kiln are a time to integrate into the inner space of the mind, to contemplate more deeply the philosophies that Buddha taught.

Many Buddhists in the locality, tourists, and pottery lovers from Ho Chi Minh City, the former Binh Duong region, and the former Bien Hoa region also come to the pagoda not only to burn incense and worship Buddha but also to admire pottery works... to regain a sense of peace from simple and close things.
Ms. Hong Cam, residing in Trang Bom ward, shared that she really loves the works at the Pagoda Pottery Exhibition, through ceramic works she finds peace and tranquility in life, recalling familiar childhood images such as lotus flowers, water lilies, banana leaves...
