The exhibition "We are the children" displays more than 200 paintings by children from all over the country. The special thing is that many works from orphans, disabled children, autistic children, and children with serious illnesses bring an innocent but emotional view of the world around them.

The opening ceremony on August 16 was attended by Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Lam Van Doan - Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, Prof. Dr. David Bangsberg - one of the world's top 100 scientists, along with representatives of many agencies, organizations and press agencies.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. David Bangsberg emphasized: Retiding to learn to nurture dreams is the key to helping children overcome difficulties, overcome circumstances and reach a bright future.
He has spent a long time studying and researching at prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Columbia University, Kings College, Harvard and has successfully raised more than 70 million USD for research. In 2007, he was honored by Science Magazine as the second largest HIV/AIDS researcher in the world.

An emotional highlight at the opening ceremony was the exchange with two determined faces. Hoang Oanh - an orphan who lost her mother in a traffic accident at the age of 6 - stood up to overcome adversity. Hoang Oanh is currently a medical student, with the dream of becoming a doctor to help patients.
Chuc Mai - the eldest sister in the Hoa Mo family of SOS Children's Village Hai Phong, is also the author of an exhibition. Born in difficult circumstances, with a mentally ill mother and a weak paternal grandfather, Chuc Mai conveyed her aspirations and voice to the public through painting.
In addition, students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Boarding School - an integrated educational school for both blind and normal students - brought a national concert performance, contributing to creating a warm and humane atmosphere for the opening ceremony.

This year's exhibition also has the participation of artist Dinh Quang Hai (Hai Tre). During the two days of the event, the artist directly painted portraits for visitors, and encouraged contributions to the Hope Fund. The entire amount will be transferred to disadvantaged children, providing practical support.
The paintings in the exhibition revolve around many familiar and meaningful topics such as environmental protection, family love, compassion, the desire for peace... The exhibition is not only a place to express creativity, but also a bridge between the hearts of children and the community.
The exhibition sends a reminder about the responsibility to nurture a complete childhood, where all children's dreams are listened to and given wings.

The exhibition We are the children was first held in 2021, when the whole country was heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, children's paintings have been introduced at many important locations such as the United Nations Headquarters in Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Hanoi Opera House, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Giac Ngo Pagoda (HCMC).
The event is part of a series of exhibitions for disadvantaged children jointly organized by the Sun and Hope Foundation program, with the support of many units. This is considered a special milestone in activities for disadvantaged children, contributing to raising public awareness and promoting the responsibility to protect children.
Thanks to the cooperation of businesses and individuals, the program has raised more than 70 billion VND, supported the treatment of more than 2,200 children, and presented thousands of gifts to disadvantaged children across the country.
