After decades of accompanying the robot cat Doraemon through fictional lands, Vietnamese fans are finally witnessing the S-shaped strip of land officially appearing in the classic animated series.
Asahi TV (Japan) has just announced a special episode set in Vietnam, turning our country into the third country outside of Japan (after Thailand and Spain) to be visited by Nobita's group of friends.

The special episode titled "The Gift is a Trip to Vietnam" was made on the occasion of her friend Shizuka's birthday. After Shizuka expressed her love and desire to set foot in Vietnam, Nobita asked Doraemon for help to turn her dream into reality as a surprise birthday gift.
However, the plan almost broke down when the group discovered that the treasure, the Magic Door, was being taken for repair. Fortunately, with the help of their younger sister Doremi, Nobita and Shizuka still successfully completed a memorable journey to Vietnam with other unique treasures.

The trailer just released has made the online community excitedly proud. A series of scenic spots and familiar historical landmarks of the country are vividly and meticulously recreated under artistic anime drawings.
From the ancient beauty of Hoi An Ancient Town, Saigon Central Post Office, the majesty of Ha Long Bay to modern symbols such as the Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, they are successively revealed vividly.

In particular, the image of Shizuka and Doremi in flowing ao dai, Nobita and Doraemon wearing conical hats received a shower of praise from domestic audiences. To be able to communicate and chat in Vietnamese with local people, the group of friends used the magic trick Translated Bread.
Vietnam's presence in the Doraemon world both brings great joy to fans and helps spread the image, culture and tourism of the country globally.
