Fall Winter Travel Trends 2024

Mr. Pham Van Bay - Deputy Director of Vietravel Tourism Company - Hanoi Branch commented that this fall and winter, Vietnamese tourists have 3 trends in choosing foreign travel itineraries. The first is the autumn journey to see the yellow and red leaves in countries famous for red maple, ginkgo, and birch trees such as the US, Canada, UK, Eastern Europe, Japan, Korea, China - Beijing, Jiuzhaigou route... The second is to watch the snow fall, go skiing in the snow paradise of Harbin, Xinjiang (China) or the resorts on snowy mountains in Korea, Japan. The third is the trend of escaping the cold, going to warm and sunny lands such as Australia, South Africa, India, Dubai, Egypt...

For domestic tourism, tourists also tend to be interested in warm destinations such as the Western provinces - Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau; Hue - Da Nang; Phu Quoc and flower seasons such as Da Lat cherry blossom, Mang Den, and the Northwestern East flower season.

Based on customer demand for the above destinations, Vietravel Hanoi offers a discount of up to 25% when registering for a tour during the Autumn Festival event from September 20 to 22, 2024. Customers will receive a direct discount for 40 domestic and international tours departing from September 2024 to January 2025.

Along with that is the lucky draw program to win round-trip tickets of Vietravel Airlines, 5-star FLC resort rooms... for customers who register for New Year's Eve, Lunar New Year tours, and new itineraries. Especially the preferential program for family groups, honeymooners or wedding anniversaries, the higher the payment, the greater the gift value.

A representative of Vietravel Hanoi also said that the number of tourists choosing to travel in the fall and winter is gradually increasing every year. According to the unit's statistics, the number of tourists in the fall and winter of 2024 is expected to reach more than 40% compared to the number of summer tourists.

The age of tour guests has also changed. Previously, it was mainly guests over 55 years old who had relatively free time and chose to travel during the low season at the end of the year to get good costs, but now there is a variety of ages with the 18-44 age group accounting for 21%, the 45-55 age group accounting for 26%. Vietravel Hanoi expects to welcome 10,000 visitors to visit the booth and consult on tours during this year's Autumn Festival.
