This is one of the most famous and visited Christmas trees in the world. The brilliant Christmas tree at the Galeries Lafayette shopping center in Paris has been around since 1976 and this year is even more special because the center is celebrating its 130th anniversary.
The tree is decorated with 20,000 high-tech controlled lights with firework lighting effects, directly inspired by the dresses of famous designer Kevin Germanier.

Ukraine's Christmas tree will appear in St. Sophia Square in the center of the capital Kyiv until January 10, 2025.
This year, the 31-meter-high tree and its Christmas decorations are funded by donors, with no money from the Ukrainian government due to the ongoing war with Russia. So Christmas in Kyiv will also be limited to large gatherings, fairs and entertainment.

In 1991, the Guinness Book of Records listed this tree as "The World's Largest Christmas Tree".
The tree of light is 2,000 feet (609.6 m) tall, reaching its peak to the Basilica of the patron saint of Sant’Ubaldo, and is topped with a bright shooting star. It is lit every year at 6:30 p.m. on December 7 from Piazza Gramsci.
The world's most expensive Christmas tree in Munich, Germany
This is one of the most expensive Christmas trees in the world, made from $5.5 million worth of gold bars in Bavaria, Munich. In collaboration with the Austrian Mint and designed by a German businessman, the gold tree is made from 2,024 Vienna Philharmonic coins and is about three meters tall.
"The gold Christmas tree is a symbol of the timeless durability of precious metals," explains a spokesperson for Pro Aurum, the creators of the tree.
The tree, about 10 feet (3.05m) tall, was displayed at the bullion trading company's headquarters in Munich, Germany to celebrate Christmas and the company's 35th anniversary.

Perhaps the most famous Christmas tree in the world, and one of the most expensive. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York costs around $70,000. The tree is usually a Norway spruce, decorated with over 700 lights and topped with an expensive Swarovski crystal star.
On Christmas Day, the tree will be lit up 24 hours a day and on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The tree will remain on display until mid-January 2025.
