Traveling in Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang, Phonsavan... during the rainy and stormy season, Duc Anh and Hoang Duy still hunt for the peaceful scenery of northern Laos.

Right when Typhoon Wipha was making landfall in Vietnam and approaching the Vietnam - Laos border, Lo Huu Duc Anh and Trinh Hoang Duy spent two weeks exploring the land of a million elephants. The two guys from Hanoi took a 24-hour sleeper bus to Vientiane, carrying bulky luggage for up to 20 - 30km, planning to go and camp.

Although both have prepared mentally and equipped themselves as well as their schedules, traveling during the rainy and stormy season still has unpredictable things. During the days of the storm and after the storm, some roads in northern Laos were eroded, causing Duc Anh and Hoang Duy to be stuck in one place for many days. Typically, on the road from Luang Prabang to Phonsavan to visit Chum field, the landslide caused by heavy rain and many sections of land subsided, so we had to wait all night.

Unfavorable weather, Duc Anh and Hoang Duy still found a way to enjoy their surprising trip and capture the poetic and peaceful scenes of the land of the Three Yearling Elephants.

The rare sunrise in northern Laos in the rainy and stormy season makes two "happy as if catching gold".

Banchannua pottery village is located on the other side of the Mekong River in the ancient capital of Luang Prabang. People here have been making pottery since around the 16th century.

Heavy rain after storm No. 3 lasted for many days, changing the schedule. Nam Ngum Lake is the place that suddenly appeared on the Laos backpacking route of two Vietnamese guys. They had a few peaceful days by the lake, playing with animals camping (camping), setting up tents, cooking, fishing...
Dem xuong ben ho Nam Ngum, may man co nhung gio phut kho rao nen hai nguoi co the ngam troi sao tinh lang, hong nguoi ben den va bep lua.
Night down by Nam Ngum Lake, luckily there are dry moments so the two can watch the quiet starry sky, sleeping by the lights and fire.
“Hai tuan o Lao la hai tuan cua nhung chang duong khong doan truoc. Do la buoi sang o Vang Vieng, khinh khi cau cham rai cat ngang bau troi, anh nang dau ngay roi xuong nhung ngon nui phu suong. Pho co Luang Prabang song cham nhu the thoi gian quen chay o day tieng tung kinh tu chua co, nhung con pho nho ngap huong ca phe va mui hoa su - quoc hoa cua Lao“, Duc Anh chia se.
The two weeks in Laos are two weeks of unpredictable travel. That was the morning in Vang Vieng, the hot air balloon slowly crossed the sky, the first sunlight fell on the mountains covered in fog. Luang Prabang ancient town lives as slowly as time forgets here the flickering sound of the ancient pagoda, the small streets are filled with the scent of coffee and the scent of porcelain - the national flower of Laos, Duc Anh shared.
Tranh thu tam nang tren dinh Nam Xay - mot diem check-in ma dan du lich den Vang Vieng ai cung phai dat chan toi mot lan. Tu tren dinh nui co the phong tam mat nhin toan bo thi tran Vang Vieng, thung lung xanh ri xen lan cac day nui da nhon lom chom.
Take advantage of the sunlight on Nam Xay peak - a check-in spot that tourists coming to Vang Vieng must visit once. From the top of the mountain, you can see the entire Vang Vieng town, the green valley mixed with the steep rocky mountains.
Lang thang kham pha nhung ngo ngach o thi tran Vang Vieng, vung dat cua du khach ua mao hiem.

Chum's wing impressed Duc Anh the most because the journey here was more difficult than he could imagine. This place has much fewer tourists than Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, reminding him to reflect on history when walking in the fields of thousands of ancient stone cages.
Giay phut nghi ngoi giua nhung ngay lan lon tim cho cam trai va tim xe, tau de di chuyen, hai chang trai Viet chon nghi duong vua de nghi ngoi vua de lay lai suc cho chang duong tiep theo.
The moment of rest between days of struggling to find a camping spot and a car and a boat to move, two Vietnamese guys chose to relax both to rest and to regain strength for the next trip.
