Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1396/QD-TTg approving the Planning for the conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong Complex National Special Scenic Landscape Monument.
The planning aims to long-term preserve the original elements of the relic; preserve and promote the historical, cultural, scientific and aesthetic values of the relic complex as a component of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Complex and Scenes, towards recognizing the World Heritage in the future.
In addition, the planning will contribute to promoting the value of relics associated with the development of sustainable spiritual and cultural tourism and eco-tourism. One of the key contents is to synchronously connect the internal traffic system between relic sites in the complex; at the same time, link with other relics and tourist destinations in and outside the province.
The planning will redefine the boundary of the relic protection, functional zoning, landscape - environmental protection area, and land use chiar. Along with that is the organization of space and investment in technical infrastructure suitable for the stages of preserving and promoting the value of the relic. Overall management solutions, investment, renovation and recovery will be implemented synchronously, associated with local tourism and socio-economic development.
An important orientation is to form a center for cultural and religious activities, serving the people, domestic and international tourists, turning this place into a unique research and cultural and archaeological destination.
The relic space will be divided into 6 areas, facilitating the preservation of original relics and archaeological artifacts, especially in the caves of Kinh Chu and Nham Duong.
Many existing items of the complex will be restored; auxiliary works, infrastructure systems, and landscapes will be supplemented in a synchronous and sustainable direction. The internal transportation system will connect all points in the complex, serving both management and tourism and experience activities.
The plan also mentioned the development of new types of tourism: cultural - spiritual tourism, resort tourism, meditation tourism associated with vegetarian cuisine, mountain tourism, countryside experiences, cave exploration, archaeological tourism... field activities, archaeological activities at Ham Long - Tam Long - Doc tit caves, Mo pagoda caves, Kinh Chu, Nham Duong will be organized to increase interaction, attracting researchers and tourists.
The Kinh Thay River sightseeing route by boat is also planned for development. Along both sides of the river, ecological resorts, garden houses, and spaces for displaying and selling local typical products will be formed. In addition, craft village tourism and countryside tourism routes will be formed, connecting with destinations in the area.
The approval of the planning is not only an important step forward in preserving and promoting the value of An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong Complex, but also a driving force for sustainable tourism - economy - cultural development for the Northeast region in general, Hai Phong City and neighboring localities in particular.
