On August 8, the People's Committee of Bình Định Province announced that Vice Chairman Lâm, Hải Giang had signed Decision 147/KH-UBND to issue a plan for cooperation and promotion of tourism through the Program "Tourism, Film, and Sports - Proud Vietnamese Identity".
The program is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the People's Committee of Bình Định Province; specialized agencies of the two units cooperate to organize, including the Film Department, the Department of Performing Arts, the International Cooperation Department, and the National Tourism Department of Vietnam.
The event will take place in Quy Nhơn City and surrounding areas from September 2-4, featuring tourism experiences (visiting martial arts schools, scenic spots, historical and cultural relics such as Long Phước Pagoda, Làng Sông Church, Quang Trung Museum, Twin Tower, Bánh Ít Tower, Kỳ Co, Eo Gió…); martial arts performances; the "Wonderful Wings" concert; Vietnam tourism through photography; and the workshop "Tourism, Film, and Sports: Creating a Future - A Shared Path".
At the same time, the program will promote tourism through film. It is expected that there will be a film screening with beautiful scenery of some provinces and cities, including Bình Định, which are expected to attract a large number of tourists, such as "I See the Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass", "The Story of Pao", "The Aspiration of Thăng Long", and "On the Calm Peak".
According to the People's Committee of Bình Định Province, this is the first time that the three fields of tourism, film, and sports have been connected in one event to "create a future". In addition to domestic delegates, including central and local leaders, representatives of large enterprises, experts, athletes, directors, actors, and screenwriters, the event will also welcome leaders of some embassies, foreign cultural centers, foreign tourism offices in Vietnam, representatives of the Motion Picture Association of America, Netflix; martial arts schools, international film stars…
According to Vice Chairman Lâm Hải Giang, the "Proud Vietnamese Identity" event is organized to achieve the goal of: promoting scenic spots and tourist destinations in Bình Định; promoting the image of Vietnam, its culture, and people to the world; and utilizing the potential and advantages of businesses and investors and the province of Bình Định in the journey of "creating a future".
The event aims to connect the cultural heritage of Bình Định into a system to preserve, promote, exploit, and serve the development of tourism.
This is expected to be a bridge for filmmakers, businesses, and managers to meet, exchange, and propose useful solutions, as well as build preferential policies and encourage cooperation, linkage, and joint ventures between Bình Định and other provinces and cities, between sports and tourism, tourism and film, and film and sports, towards long-term and sustainable development.
