On May 18, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai - Chairman of Hanh Phuc Commune People's Committee said that after many years of becoming an attractive destination for trekking lovers, Ta Chi Nhu is increasingly attracting a large number of tourists inside and outside the province.
However, the terrain here is rugged, many sections are steep and slippery in the rainy season, posing a potential safety risk.
There are sections only about a few dozen centimeters wide, one side is a cliff, one side is a deep abyss. Previously, local people were familiar with the road, but tourists who went up the mountain for the first time were often quite worried, especially when it was foggy or rainy.

According to local authorities, immediately after the field survey, Hanh Phuc commune mobilized militia forces, youth union members and local people to participate in transporting materials, drilling anchors, and pulling cables at the most dangerous locations on the road.
In dangerous terrain conditions, all materials must be transported by manpower through thousands of meters of steep slopes, and construction work faces many difficulties. Some days, participating forces have to stick to the mountain from early morning to late at night amidst harsh sunshine, fog and strong winds.
After more than 10 days of continuous efforts, the cable line has been completed, ensuring firmness and convenience for grip and balance when moving through dangerous points," Mr. Hai added.

Ta Chi Nhu ranks seventh in the top 10 highest mountains in Vietnam, famous for the floating sea of clouds in the primeval forest. In recent years, the number of visitors coming to experience mountain climbing and cloud hunting has been increasing, leading to the development of many community tourism services.
The completion of the protective cable system not only helps minimize the risk of accidents but also creates more motivation for the locality to develop sustainable tourism.
Mr. Giang A Sua - a local who provides guide services in Hanh Phuc commune said that in the past, many groups of tourists when reaching rocky slopes often had to stop for quite a long time because they were afraid of slipping and falling. Some elderly people or women had to ask for help to overcome.
Now that there are cables, customers are much more assured. Leading a group is also less stressful when safety is raised. If more tourists come, people here will have additional income from guiding, selling food, renting tents or transporting goods," said Mr. Sua.

Not only tourism workers, many households in Hanh Phuc commune also expect that infrastructure investment will open up more economic development opportunities for this still difficult mountainous region.
According to local authorities, in the coming time, the commune will continue to review landslide risk points, add warning signs, and at the same time propagate to people and tourists to raise awareness of environmental protection and preserve the natural landscape on the trekking route.
In addition, the locality also orients community tourism development associated with the cultural identity of the highland people, encouraging people to participate in homestay, tour guide services, and selling local agricultural products to increase income.
