The Hanoi Pan Pacific Art Awards 2026 ceremony took place in Hanoi, honoring disabled artists with talent and will to rise up in life.

The award ceremony is themed "Future Horizon", co-organized by Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel and Vietnam University of Fine Arts on the evening of April 17. After more than 5 months of launching, the contest received more than 200 works from many target groups, including young artists, disabled artists and talents under 18 years old.

This year's theme is aimed at expanding creative space, encouraging authors to express perspectives on the future, from personal aspirations to social issues such as technology, environment and the relationship between humans and nature.

In her role as judge, Ms. Wee Wei Ling - Director of Sustainable Cooperation, Lifestyle and Assets of Pan Pacific Hotel Group - said: "With the theme'Future Horizons', we want to invite everyone to look at the future through the perspective of each artist. In the context of many upheavals, creativity has sparked reflections on the future that we are building together.

In this category, the First Prize belonged to Hoang Thi Thuy with the work "Integrating Horizon"; the Second Prize was awarded to Lai Thanh Quang with "Bright Dawn"; the Third Prize belonged to Nguyen Khanh Nhu with "City of Light".

The works not only show technique but also reflect emotional depth, and the will to overcome circumstances. Sharing at the award ceremony, Hoang Thi Thuy emotionally said: "Painting is not only a passion but also a way for me to overcome my own shortcomings, find confidence and a broader'horizon' in life.

According to the assessment of the professional council, many works this year show the combination of traditional painting and contemporary visual language, while reflecting contemporary issues. NSND Tran Ly Ly commented that artists, especially disabled artists, have shown courage when telling their stories in emotional language.

This year, the contest also added the handicraft creation category for disabled artists, expanding the form of expression and increasing the applicability of works. In addition to the awards ceremony, the program also has performance and art exchange activities, creating a connection space between artists and the public.
