NHC experts forecast that large waves generated by Kirk will begin affecting parts of the Leeward Islands on October 4, spreading to Bermuda and the Greater Antilles on October 5, before reaching the US east coast by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Leslie is moving slowly westward with a current position of 10.0 degrees North, 32.0 degrees West, about 980 km west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands.
Leslie has sustained winds of 85 km/h and is expected to strengthen in the coming days, potentially becoming a hurricane.
