According to the peak service plan for the Hung Kings Commemoration and April 30 - May 1, 2026 holiday (from April 24 to May 3, 2026), Tan Son Nhat International Airport forecasts a sharp increase in operating output.
On average, there are 750 flights per day (450 domestic flights, 300 international flights), an increase of 12% compared to the present. The number of passengers reaches about 125,000 people/day, an increase of 14%.
In particular, during the 3 peak days of April 24, April 29 and May 3, 2026, the airport is expected to serve up to 130,000 passengers with about 770 flights per day.

From April 29 to the end of May 4, 2026, aviation units will apply level 1 enhanced security control measures. To reduce the load on the terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport deploys biometric identification and recognition applications at terminal T3. "line Boarding Bio" identification boards are installed at the departure gate to optimize the check-in process.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport also flexibly coordinates check-in counters, luggage conveyor belts and departure gates at all 3 terminals T1, T2 and T3. The FIDS information system is continuously updated to support passengers, avoiding the situation of going to the wrong terminal.
The airport requires representatives of airlines to be present at the counters and departure gates to promptly handle situations of delays and cancellations, avoiding causing frustration for passengers. At the same time, the unit coordinates with the Aviation Meteorological Center to proactively respond to unfavorable weather developments affecting flight operations.
The Youth Union of the Port also launched a campaign to support passengers from 5 am to 10 am continuously during 9 peak days. Command and operation duty regimes are strictly maintained to respond to emergency situations.
Airports recommend that passengers be present 2 hours before departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights. Passengers should check in online or at kiosks to save time...
