The 10,500 drone performance will take place in the Saigon River bank area between Bach Dang Wharf (District 1) and East Coast Park (Thu Duc City).
The official drone performance will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on May 1, 2025. The Organizing Committee will prepare a dossier to propose establishing Vietnamese discipline for the largest number of drone flights at a time.
This is a program in the series of " Colors of Uncle Ho's City" Festival taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The entire performance will use drone movements to recreate special historical images, such as: tanks shot down the Golden gate of the Golden State, Liberation flags flying, or portraits of President Ho Chi Minh. The program promises to create a satisfying space, blending modern performing arts with national historical values.
The exhibition area includes the Saigon River and both banks of District 1 and Thu Duc City - an ideal destination for people and tourists to admire this grand light event.
The organizers informed that the official 10,500 drone performance on the evening of May 1 will not have an advertising part, because the benefits for the accompanying unit were carried out during the rehearsal on the evening of April 28.
The program can change the performance schedule, postpone or adjust the content according to actual weather conditions or decisions from the Organizing Committee to ensure flight safety for equipment and people.
