On March 26, along Thuy Van Park (Bai Sau area, Vung Tau and Tam Thang wards), net fences were erected in many places to prevent and limit sand being blown in by the wind from the beach.
Thuy Van Park belongs to the Thuy Van road axis renovation project with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND, stretching more than 3km along the coast. This is an important public space, serving a large number of people and tourists in Vung Tau.
Around from the beginning of March 2026, due to the impact of strong monsoon winds, a large amount of sand on the beach was swept into Thuy Van park, forming sand dunes on the rocky background, affecting the experience, entertainment, and relaxation space of people and tourists.

This is a phenomenon that usually occurs every year in the monsoon season, but this year the amount of sand splashed into the park area is quite large, causing many lawns, bushes, and even part of the amusement park to be buried in sand. Some people and tourists are splashed with sand by the wind, causing discomfort.
Faced with that situation, the Tam Thang Ward Construction Investment Management Board - the temporary management unit - has coordinated with units and businesses to clear sand in the premises, and at the same time erect temporary net fences to cover, minimizing the situation of sand continuing to be thrown in.

Currently, more than 500m of net fences have been erected in areas without steps, forming a soft shield against sand. In recent days, the impact of drafts has eased, and net fences against sand have also been effective. Thereby keeping the area in the park clean to serve people and tourists.
This is only a temporary solution to cope with the immediate situation in the monsoon season. In the long term, we will have to find solutions, such as planting more trees to shield and limit sand being blown into the park," said the representative of the temporary park management unit.
