The plan was proposed with the desire to maintain and promote the effectiveness of the "Tet tree planting" movement in agencies, organizations, individuals, unions and enterprises in the city; along with the goal of calling for support to plant nearly 3,500 coconut trees at 4 locations including: Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap beach (Son Tra district), expected to plant 1,200 trees; Truong Sa beach (Ngu Hanh Son district) expected to plant nearly 150 trees; Nguyen Tat Thanh beach (Thanh Khe district) expected to plant more than 1,110 trees; Nguyen Tat Thanh beach (Lien Chieu district) expected to plant more than 1,035 trees.
The funding campaign will be conducted in two phases, specifically phase 1 from October to November 2024; phase 2 from January to March 2025. The coconut tree planting period is also divided into two phases: phase 1 from December 2024 to the end of the first quarter of 2025; phase 2 from April to the end of the third quarter of 2025.
To effectively implement the proposed plan, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Tourism as the focal agency to advise the City People's Committee on the plan to plant coconut trees on beaches in the city. The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches will take the lead in organizing the implementation of this plan and taking the lead in organizing the handover and receipt of coconut trees from the sponsor.

In addition, the Chairman of the City People's Committee has sent a letter calling on individuals, organizations, agencies and businesses to join hands in sponsoring coconut trees, contributing to beautifying green spaces at Da Nang beaches, contributing to the formation of vibrant and attractive landscape architecture for residents and tourists.
Each coconut tree planted is not only a symbol of love for nature but also has great significance in minimizing the impact of climate change, limiting coastal erosion and landslides. The city is committed to directing the maintenance and upkeep of coconut trees after receiving them, bringing a green and sustainable landscape to the city.
