With a total investment of more than 100 billion VND from the city budget, the project will expand the experience space for people and tourists, while creating a strong boost for the development of the night-time economy - a potential field of the coastal city.
The main items of phase 2 are the construction of a modern central square, harmoniously combining public space and sports facilities.
This square will include an outdoor stage for events, a relaxation platform, an artistic water music floor, a shade green tree system, outdoor exercise equipment and a lighting system, sparkling decorative lights.
A planned parking lot will also be built. This promises to be an ideal destination for community activities, entertainment, and organizing unique cultural and artistic events, attracting local people and tourists.
The project also invests in renovating and expanding internal routes in An Thuong tourist area. The road will be widened from the existing 3.5m to 5.5m, making traffic more convenient and safer. The entire road will be paved with stone, the sidewalks will be renovated synchronously, and a system of trees will be added.
An important item is the undergrounding of the entire power, telecommunications and other technical lines, ensuring urban aesthetics and creating an airy space. Public Wifi will be covered throughout the area, along with a system of brand recognition signs, creating a unique and professional identity for the neighborhood.
The An Thuong Tourist Area Project Phase 2 is part of Da Nang's long-term strategy to develop the night-time economy, diversify tourism products and enhance the experience for tourists. When completed and put into operation, this place is expected to become a vibrant entertainment - shopping - culinary - cultural complex, operating all day and night, fully meeting the needs of domestic and foreign tourists, as well as local people.
An Thuong tourist area, long known by many people as the familiar name "Western Street" because it attracts a large number of international tourists to have fun and entertain, especially in the evening.
