According to the announcement of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the event was held at the premises in front of Am Phu Cave, Thuy Son Top, belonging to the special National Monument of the famous 500 Hanh Son.
Linh Ung - Non Nuoc Pagoda will organize and coordinate with Tam Thai, Hue Quang, Tam Ton, Tu Tam, Hai An pagodas. The festival has been maintained annually since 2017, attracting more than 10,000 visitors each year.
The program consists of two main parts. The ceremony has solemn traditional rituals such as the Hung tac Ceremony, the Thuyet Thuc on Parents' gratitude, the Ceremony of Propaganda and Prayer for National Security, and the Old Buddha's Commemoration.
The festival is organized in the form of socialization with diverse cultural activities. Outstanding activities include art programs, calligraphy, tea ceremony, wearing roses and hanhines, art exhibition and Vu Lan Hung Huong Hieu Hoi.
The Organizing Committee pays special attention to ensuring security and order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, food safety and fire prevention, in order to bring good impressions to people and tourists.
The Vu Lan An Gioi Trieu Ceremony is a folk cultural custom, a good belief in gratitude to parents and a spiritual expression of traditional Buddhism of the Vietnamese people; originating from the example of the kind heart of the Prophethet Passionate Priest Kien Lien, Vu Lan veneration for the Buddhist monk prayed for his mother to be saved.
Accordingly, every year on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, pagodas across the country in general and in Ngu Hanh Son ward in particular organize Vu Lan ceremony and are crowded with monks, parishioners and Buddhists and people to worship and pray.
The festival was first held in 2017. Accordingly, every year, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the locality presides over and coordinates with pagodas in the ward to organize the Vu Lan Giai - Ngu Hanh Son Festival in the spirit of socializing activities on a large scale concentrated in the premises in front of and in the Yen Phu Cave, Thuy Son Peak, and the special national relic of Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Landscape. Over the years, the Festival has been a great success, attracting more than 10,000 visitors to attend and worship.
