Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, on behalf of the Prime Minister, signed and issued Decision No. 946/QD-TTg on approving the investment policy to adjust the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Tourist Area Complex Project.
The total investment capital of the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Eco-tourism and Urban Complex project approved by the Government has increased to nearly VND52,000 billion - equivalent to about USD2 billion.
Accordingly, the official name of the project is the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Ecotourism and Urban Area Complex.
The goal of the project is to invest in the complete and synchronous construction of technical infrastructure systems, social infrastructure, commercial, tourism, service, accommodation, entertainment and other types of works, in order to turn this area into a destination for entertainment, relaxation, quality living and working, meeting the diverse needs of tourists and people.
The project will include commercial, tourism, service works, more than 7,000 hotel rooms, entertainment items, adding 2 more cable lines to increase the total number of cable car routes to 10, station system, technical infrastructure, social infrastructure and other auxiliary works...
The adjustment does not change the project boundaries that were previously approved, but adjusts the items and functional areas to ensure suitability and efficiency in exploitation and operation to serve tourism development.
The project adjustment aims to gradually concretize the development orientations in the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, in line with the development perspective clearly stated in this Plan: "Tourism associated with resort real estate, international event center and associated with cultural elements, creating uniqueness and difference, creating added value for the pillar of Tourism" - one of the three economic pillars of Da Nang city.
