On September 23, the Hanoi Capital Command submitted a document to the Hanoi People's Committee proposing to organize fireworks to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Accordingly, to focus on overcoming the consequences caused by Typhoon Yagi and join hands to support people in damaged areas, the Command proposed that Hanoi should only set off fireworks at one location with two locations in Hoan Kiem district from 9:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on October 10.

The amount of fireworks (both high and low altitude) for the battle in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and the battle in front of the Hanoi Post Office remains the same as planned, 600 each.
In the remaining 29 districts and towns of Hanoi, the Capital Command proposed not to organize fireworks displays.
Previously, Hanoi issued a plan to organize fireworks displays in all 30 districts to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day. This includes one high-altitude fireworks display combined with low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnics, eight high-altitude fireworks displays combined with low-altitude fireworks, and 22 low-altitude fireworks displays.
