Each residential group brings a creative lantern model, associated with traditional cultural beauty or typical images of Son Tay ward such as the ancient village gate of Duong Lam, Kim Quy - Den Va, carp, rabbits, chickens, swan, giant Mid-Autumn lanterns, moon boats...
The scoring criteria are based on creative ideas, formations, costumes, props, Mid-Autumn Lantern models, and introductory words.
After the Judging Panel scored, the residential groups competed in a beautiful lantern model parade around the Citadel moat area according to the route: Stadium Square - Phan Chu Trinh - Main stage of the pedestrian street - Pho Duc Chinh - Pham Ngu Lao - Le Quy Don - Nguyen Thai Hoc - Stadium - Gathering and displaying at the Main Stage for people to visit.
According to the plan, on September 12, the 2nd phase of the contest will be organized with 12 residential groups.
On September 19, the program "Moonlit Night of Ancient Village" will be held at Duong Lam Ancient Village.
On September 25th, the art program "Full Moon Night Festival - Ancient Citadel Mid-Autumn Festival - Son Tay Xu Doai" will take place, combined with a lantern model parade of all 25 residential groups, awarding prizes and giving gifts to children, prioritizing children in difficult circumstances.
