The program "Welcome New Year 2025" at the Village of Ethnic Culture and Tourism has the highlight activity "Highland Market - Welcome New Year 2025" with a market space scene, along with more than 50 booths.
The fair introduces and promotes ethnic cuisine, local products, traditional crafts, folk songs, folk dances, folk games (stick pushing, tug of war, throwing balls...) of the H'Mong, Dao, Thai ethnic groups (Thanh Hoa) and ethnic groups in the North.
In addition, the market also displays the painting "Colors of the Market", introducing the beauty of the land and people of the mountainous district of Thanh Hoa and some photos of cultural space.
Many attractive art performances promise to bring a joyful and bustling atmosphere to the New Year 2025, such as the Mong ethnic panpipe dance; folk songs and dances praising the beauty of the homeland, country, and ethnic identity of the regions.
Performances of art, traditional musical instruments and handicrafts by ethnic groups in the highlands will take place from 8:30 a.m. on December 31 to 4:00 p.m. on January 1, 2025.
In particular, on January 1, 2025, there will be a reenactment of the "new rice celebration" ceremony - a traditional cultural feature of the Thai people at 9:00-10:00; the lucky festival of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province at 14:30-15:00.
