Towards the 72nd anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, Him Lam Resistance Center Relic (Dien Bien Phu ward) has just opened to serve visitors from April 28.
According to the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board, right from the first days of opening for service, Him Lam Relic has welcomed a large number of people and tourists to visit and learn about history.

According to reporters' records on May 2nd, many delegations were present to visit and listen to explanations about the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign that "stirred up the five continents and shook the earth".
Not only tourist destinations, the relics are also "red addresses" for educating revolutionary traditions and patriotism for the younger generation. Many families have chosen to come here during holidays to experience and learn about national history.

Coming to Him Lam Relic for the first time, Ms. Ngoc Linh (Dien Bien Phu ward) said: "I am really surprised by the beauty and spaciousness of Him Lam Relic today. The road to the hill has now been repaired, so walking is much easier. Although climbing the steps is a bit tiring, but when climbing, I am immersed in the historical space.
The Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board said that the unit has proactively arranged personnel, deployed synchronous solutions to receive, manage, and operate, ensuring the effective promotion of the historical and cultural values of the relic.

About 3 km northeast of the center of Dien Bien province, Him Lam relic has a total area of 136,900m2. This is the place marking the opening battle of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign on March 13, 1954.
Him Lam was once built by the French colonialists into a solid defense system with bunkers, traffic trenches and dense minefields from the foot to the top of the hill.
Also at base No. 2 of Him Lam Resistance Center, Heroic Martyr Phan Dinh Giot "filled the chau mai hole with his body", bravely sacrificing himself for his comrades to rush forward and destroy the enemy.

Previously (March 8), Dien Bien province inaugurated the conservation and restoration project of Him Lam Resistance Center Area (phase II), with a total investment of 91 billion VND.
The construction focuses on two main items: a 45m long relief, 425m2 area, made of natural stone; incense offering house designed in a hexagonal shape.

Him Lam relic is open all days of the week, for spring-summer (March-September), mornings from 7am to 11am, afternoons from 1:30pm to 6pm. For autumn-winter (October to February of the following year), mornings from 7:00am to 11:00am, afternoons from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
