According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tomorrow (November 2), the South Central region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening;
From November 3, in the North and Central Central regions, there is a possibility of heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 100-200mm, locally over 300mm. From Ha Tinh to Da Nang, common rainfall is 200-400mm, locally over 500mm.
From November 6, heavy rains will continue and may move down to the Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh areas. Heavy rains in the central provinces may last for many days. Heavy rains and localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
In the North, there will be no rain at night, sunny days, and some places will have fog in the early morning. The night and early morning will be cold, and the mountainous areas will be chilly. The Northeast and the plains will have scattered showers and thunderstorms from the night of November 3, with some places having heavy rain. From around November 4-6, the weather will turn cold, with some places having severe cold in the highlands; the night and early morning will be cold.
Currently, cold air has affected most of the Northeast region and some places in the North Central region. In the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. Temperatures have not changed much. But in the next 2 days, the North and North Central regions will turn cold.
The Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow; in the late afternoon and evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Residents and tourists should be aware of the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
