In the North, from the night of February 23, it will be very cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold; in the North Central region, it will be cold, with some places experiencing severe cold in the North. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North is generally from 11-14 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 7 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region, it is generally 13-16 degrees Celsius; in the Central Central region, it is generally 17-20 degrees Celsius.
The Hanoi area will be very cold from the night of February 23. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is generally 12-14 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of the strengthening cold air combined with the strong wind in the high-altitude West wind zone on February 23-24, the Northern and North Central regions will have rain and light rain.
From Da Nang to Khanh Hoa, there will be rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 100mm. The Southern Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and evening) with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places over 60mm.
People and tourists need to be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Hanoi
