According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently in the North there is a cold air mass moving south.
On September 30, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall in the mountainous and midland areas of the North from 50-120mm, locally over 200mm; other places in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa from 30-80mm, locally over 150mm.
Around early morning and on October 1, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect most of the Northwest region, North Central region and some places in Central Central region. The wind will change to Northeast level 3 inland, level 4-5 in coastal areas.
During this cold spell, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be cool; cold at night and early morning, especially in the mountainous areas of the North. The lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally from 19-22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 17-19 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 16 degrees in some places; in Nghe An-Ha Tinh, the lowest temperature is generally from 20-23 degrees Celsius.
From October 1, heavy rains decreased rapidly in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa.
The provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Dinh and Ninh Thuan continue to have rain with average amounts ranging from 20-50mm, with some places reaching over 70mm. Residents and tourists should be on guard against the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in many districts.
Hanoi
