According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air has affected the North, North Central and some places in the Central Central region; in the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 9.
On October 2, cold air continues to affect other places in the Central Central region. Northeast wind inland level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4.
During this cold air mass, the North and North Central regions will have cold nights and early mornings, especially in the mountainous areas of the North. The lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally 19-22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 16-18 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 16 degrees Celsius in some places; in Nghe An-Ha Tinh, the lowest temperature is generally 20-23 degrees Celsius.
From Quang Binh to Binh Dinh, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 40-80mm, locally over 150mm. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
In addition, in the evening and night of October 2, in the area from Phu Yen to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 60mm.
The meteorological agency warned that the eye of the storm is located at about 22.1 degrees North latitude; 119.5 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the eye of the storm is level 14 (150-166km/h), gusting to level 17; moving in the North Northeast direction, speed 5-10km/h.
According to current forecasts, the storm is unlikely to affect coastal waters and mainland Vietnam. The northeastern sea area of the North East Sea (north of latitude 19.5N; east of longitude 117.5E) has strong winds of level 9-11, near the storm center level 13-14, gusts of level 17, waves 7.0-9.0m high; rough seas.
