The hot air balloon festival was held from October 26 to October 29 with 35 hot air balloons and paragliders piloted by foreign pilots and the Hanoi Paragliding Club. However, due to the rainy and windy weather in Ninh Binh on October 26 and 27, the hot air balloon and paragliding activities were not held.
"The festival takes place on the weekend, the children are all off school, so from the morning of October 26, my whole family from Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa came here to participate in the festival with the hope of experiencing a hot air balloon flight. However, due to bad weather, the organizers have not sold tickets and organized the flight yet" - Mr. Trung, a visitor, shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Vui (Ninh Binh City) shared that information about the balloon festival had been widely shared on mass media and social networks, so she really wanted to experience it once.
"Both my children were very excited and waiting, but due to bad weather, the organizers could not organize the balloon flight. I really felt a bit disappointed" - Ms. Vui shared.
Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Tourism Department said that this is the first time the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival with the theme "The beauty of the ancient capital" in 2024.
Due to the weather conditions in Ninh Binh in the past 2 days with rain and strong winds, hot air balloon and paragliding activities have been temporarily suspended to ensure safety. Visitors can spend time visiting and experiencing the food stalls and OCOP product displays. When the weather improves, flying activities will be organized again. The Organizing Committee will notify visitors and the public soon.
Within the framework of the Festival, visitors can also immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of music parties, light shows, fashion, and attractive art; visit booths displaying and introducing OCOP products typical of each region...
