According to a report by the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, in the first 6 months of 2026, the whole province is estimated to welcome over 17.613 million visitors, an increase of 23.34% compared to the same period last year.
Of which, domestic visitors reached over 15.805 million, international visitors reached over 1.808 million. Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at nearly 18,000 billion VND, an increase of 21.75% compared to the same period last year.
One of the highlights is Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 with the theme "Ninh Binh - Heritage Journey Through Times" which was successfully organized, attracting 634,582 visitors, an increase of 30.84%.
Total tourism revenue during the event is estimated to reach nearly 974 billion VND, an increase of 29.83% compared to Ninh Binh Tourism Week in 2025.
The program includes many special activities such as the Tam Coc Gold Festival, Trang An Creative Music Festival, Vietnam Yosakoi Festival 2026, opening of Ninh Binh sea tourism season, "Tam Coc Gold Season" photo tour, traditional art performances and cultural and artistic activities in response.
In addition, digital transformation in tourism is being implemented with many solutions to improve the tourist experience and the efficiency of state management.
The Department of Tourism coordinates to complete the Ninh Binh Tourism Information Portal, deploy destination data digitization, integrate digital maps, search utilities, chatbots to support tourists online and cashless payments.
The system of 5 kiosks at tourist destinations and 32 free wifi hotspots has recorded more than 40,000 visits and tourism information exploitation.
