These are the days when passengers are starting to have a holiday and travel to domestic tourist destinations, in which some air routes have reached 85% to 100% of booking rates on April 30, 2025, such as the routes: Hanoi - Hue (89%), Hanoi - Tuy Hoa (94%), Hanoi - Chu Lai (95%), Hanoi - Dong Hoi (103%), Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc (87%), Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao (92.7%), Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa (100%)...
At the end of the holiday (from May 2023 to May 4, 2025), the booking rate has shown a high increase on flights from the locality to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, in which some flights with booking rates have reached a high rate such as: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City (98%), Tuy Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City (97%), Phu Quoc - Hanoi (100%), Tuy Hoa - Hanoi (99%), Dong Hoi - Hanoi (103%)...
For routes such as Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, Hanoi - Da Nang, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, the occupancy rate is still average, reaching an average of 30% to 60%.
The Hanoi - Da Nang route and the opposite direction have reached over 70% and are showing an increasing trend. The booking rate on tourist flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to most localities has reached over 50% on April 29-30, 2025.
Data from a survey of ticket prices on some routes shows that on the first day of the holiday (April 29, 2025), airlines are currently listing the price of Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City economy class tickets from 3.4 to 3.74 million VND depending on the airline.
Accordingly, Bamboo Airways and Vietnam Airlines listed the highest ticket prices at about 3.6 million and 3.7 million, while Vietjet Air offered a much lower price, ranging from 2.9 to 3.68 million VND.
Vietravel Airlines' Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route flight tickets cost up to VND3.41 million. The above price is equivalent to the price recorded during the Lunar New Year 2025.
The Hanoi - Phu Quoc Vietnam Airlines route lists the highest ticket price up to 4.5 million VND, while Vietjet Air ranges from 2.7 to 4.3 million VND, the Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc route has ticket prices from 1.6 million to 2.7 million VND.
On the Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route, the ticket price for the evening of April 29, 2025 is also recorded at a high level, from 2.5 million VND for Vietnam Airlines, while Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways have prices ranging from 1.5 to 2.2 million VND.
The Hanoi - Da Nang route has a ticket price of 2.3 to 3.5 million VND higher than Vietnam Airlines, the remaining airlines have a ticket price of 1.9 to 2.4 million VND.
The Hanoi - Cam Ranh route recorded prices from 3.3 to 3.7 million VND.
In the opposite direction, from tourist localities returning to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, ticket prices gradually increased in the last days of the holiday.
According to a survey on May 4, 2025, the highest ticket price for the Cam Ranh - Hanoi route recorded by VietJet Air is 3.68 million VND, while the remaining airlines are currently out of economy class tickets.
As for Cam Ranh to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietjet Air recorded a price of 1.8 million VND, while Vietnam Airlines recorded the highest price of up to 2.7 million VND.
On the Phu Quoc - Hanoi route, on May 4, 2025, all popular tickets are now sold out, while on the Ho Chi Minh City route, Vietnam Airlines' ticket prices range from 1.9 to 2.7 million VND, while the remaining airlines (Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines) all recorded an average price of 1.8 million VND.
