The program was held for the first time in Ha Long City with the theme "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long" in 2024. This is one of the activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay becoming a Natural Heritage. world natural resources (1994-2024).
According to the plan, the Festival includes flying hot air balloons; hot air balloon tour; hot air balloon lantern night; Balloons decorate the ground.
The festival opens at 7am on September 1. From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from after 4:30 p.m. every day, there will be hot air balloon flying. Ha Long City will issue free flight and sightseeing tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors. Venue at October 30 Square and Ocean Park Beach.
The hot air balloon lantern night will be held from 7:30 p.m. on September 2 at October 30 Square. Balloon decoration on the ground takes place on September 1 and 2 at October 30 Square.
Besides the Hot Air Balloon Festival, there will be a supporting activity of paragliding (Paramotor). The flight route from Bai Chay flies through Cua Luc Bay to October 30 Square and vice versa.
It is expected that the festival will be organized annually by Ha Long City to create new and attractive tourism products; contributing to completing the goal of attracting about 10 million tourists to Ha Long in 2024.
