The People's Committee of Ha Nam province organized a conference to enhance the brand and position of "The world's leading local cultural destination" and promote "Asia's leading emerging tourist destination".
Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Ha Nam province, said: "Today's conference is an opportunity for Ha Nam to enhance its brand and position as "The world's leading local cultural destination". Thereby, promoting and introducing the province's tourism potential and strengths, preferential policies, attracting domestic and international investment.
At the same time, expand tourism development links, creating favorable opportunities for tourism businesses to learn, expand markets, build attractive tours and routes to introduce tourists to Ha Nam.
In 2023, Ha Nam welcomed more than 4 million visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching more than 3,000 billion VND; in the first 9 months of 2024, Ha Nam welcomed about 4.2 million visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching more than 3,200 billion VND. Ha Nam tourism is gradually affirming its brand as one of the attractive destinations for tourists. In two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, Ha Nam was honored by the World Travel Awards as the World's Leading Local Cultural Destination and Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination.
Some typical tourism products of Ha Nam such as: Cultural tourism, festivals with attractive destinations, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and worship such as: Tam Chuc Pagoda, Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda, Cay Thi Pagoda, Phat Quang Pagoda...; Tich Dien traditional festival, Tran Thuong Temple salary distribution ceremony, Tam Chuc Spring festival...; traditional craft villages such as: Dai Hoang braised fish, Doi Tam drums, Nha Xa silk...
Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that tourism is a spearhead economic sector. In the first 9 months of 2024, it welcomed 12.7 million visitors, an increase of 47% over the same period in 2023.
In order to turn Ha Nam into a locality with developed tourism, the province needs to develop smart tourism, promote digital technology on social platforms and films; improve investment in infrastructure and tourism services to encourage and attract domestic and foreign investors with preferential policies; develop tourism human resources, create good experiences for tourists when coming to Ha Nam; preserve and promote the traditional culture of Ha Nam province.
Ms. Tran Nguyen - Deputy General Director of Sun World Block - Sun Group, shared: “Our Group is and will choose Ha Nam to invest in strategic projects. Next year, we will welcome the 9th Sun World in Ha Nam - Sun Urban City area. Ha Nam has the advantage of being close to Hanoi but many geographical disadvantages due to being close to other famous tourist areas. Ha Nam needs to promote communication, 4.0 marketing is the optimal method to spread the best of the destinations”.
Within the framework of the conference, the leaders of Ha Nam province also awarded certificates to many investors and signed development cooperation agreements with investors and tourism businesses.
