Ranked 5th in the list of most beautiful autumn leaf viewing destinations in Asia, Hanoi was commented by the British magazine to have a very unique autumn compared to other destinations in the continent.
The capital of Vietnam is not a familiar autumn destination for international tourists. Time Out suggests October is the best time to explore Hanoi's autumn. Visitors can start by walking around Hoan Kiem Lake to admire the typical red and yellow leaves.

Autumn is also the harvest season of the North, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival. Therefore, visitors can experience the unique culture of Vietnam such as immerse themselves in traditional music festivals, watch lion dance, eat moon cakes...
The British magazine described: "When night falls, the whole old town will be lit up with lights, creating a sparkling, attractive scene."
In addition to Hanoi, the remaining names on the list include: Ibaraki and Kyoto (Japan); Nami Island (Korea); Alishan National Scenic Area (Taiwan, China); Zhangjiak National Park and Jiuzhaigou National Park (China).
